Acid reflux is the term used to describe seepage of stomach acids back into the food tract between the throat and stomach.  The stomach is built to handle this acid but the food tract is not.

Because of the corrosive properties of this acid, certain conditions may arise, an varying degrees of severity.

  1. Heartburn
  2. Acid Reflux Disease or Gatroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
  3. Erosive Esophagitis

These conditions may have more than one cause, and more than one treatment.
